Music Lessons
Voice, Piano, Guitar & Songwriting
Build your skills and feel more confident making music.
I offer voice, piano, guitar, and songwriting lessons for people who want to grow as musicians, whether they’re just getting started or have been making music for years.
As a singer, songwriter, and mental health counselor, I’m especially interested in the connection between our minds and our ability to make music. I specialize in helping singers improve their voices while working through things like performance anxiety, self-doubt, trouble focusing, and negative experiences with music that have made singing harder than it needs to be.
Voice Lessons
Voice is my specialty. Whether you want to improve your technique, build your confidence, prepare for a performance, or just feel more comfortable singing, we’ll work on the skills you need to reach your goals.
My background in mental health counseling also gives me a different perspective on voice lessons. Sometimes the biggest thing getting in the way of singing isn’t a lack of ability. It’s anxiety, past criticism, or getting stuck in your own head. I enjoy helping singers work through those challenges so they can develop their voices and enjoy making music.
Piano & Guitar Lessons
I also teach piano and guitar, whether you’re learning an instrument for the first time, working on songs you love, or hoping to accompany yourself while singing. Lessons are based on your interests and what you want to learn.
Songwriting Lessons
Have song ideas but aren’t sure what to do with them? Want to get better at writing lyrics, coming up with melodies, or putting a song together? I offer songwriting lessons to help you develop your ideas and grow as a songwriter.
Whether you’re writing your first song or looking to strengthen your skills, we can work on lyrics, melody, chords, song structure, and finding your own style. My goal is to help you bring your ideas to life and feel more confident in your creative process.
Combine Voice & Instrument Lessons
If you want to work on your singing and learn to play an instrument, you can combine 30 minutes of voice with 30 minutes of piano or guitar in a one-hour lesson at the regular hourly rate.
This is a great option if you want to accompany yourself, build your overall musicianship, or start bringing your own songwriting ideas to life.
My Approach to Teaching
I want lessons to be a place where you can try new things, make mistakes, ask questions, and figure out what works for you. You don’t have to be perfect to make music, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you start.
My goal is to help you build your skills, feel more confident, and find more enjoyment in making music.
